Welcome aboard!

Congrats on your new amp. I'm curious though - are you the guitarist in the vid with the 2 Marshalls or is that someone else and how do you incorporate the Triple Rec (or is that for other stuff). Thanks,

Sorry Bill, but we don't take too kindly to 80's types around here :gethim:

Thats awesome....... Guess I should file these away then so no one sees them.

My red Jackson is from 1984. The Snakeskin one is a newer USA model.

Nice to see others from the 80s around here too.

Actually, I'm the guy on the left side (with NO HAIR) with all the Mesa's(I use Marshall cabs).

I use the Stiletto for the AC/DC stuff, the Triple Rec is actually used as a REALLY BIG distortion box for the higher gain stuff (collective soul ie...). I have a A/B/C box that I use to blend the amps together.

Welcome. Cut up your credit cards now. You'll thank me later.

Good advice. Welcome aboard. Bedrock amps, man, I forgot all about them. What happened to them?

Brad stopped making amps back in the early 90s. I believe he is making effects now. I used to deal with one of his designers, Evan. Every so often, he would come by with a new amp for me, and take mine. I'd get mine back in a week or so, with some new toys in them. He would set up one of the knobs as a push pull, and I'd try out new gain stages that way. I Loved those amps (The Fred ones).

Man, you guys sound great on the AC/DC but LOTT is an amazing tune and you guys rocked it. Love your singer.

Thanks Bob,
The guys are a blast to play in a band with. We look forward to the shows, and not even doing it for the money (though the money is nice) . How funny is that........

We call it our Therapy night....

Its funny you say that. I hear that a lot about the Stiletto, but then guitar players come hear us and they hear my amp. They can't figure out how I got my Stiletto to sound like old AC/DC.

I re tubed it with 5751 pre-amp tubes and I put #7 Groove tube EL34-LS tubes in the power section. Boogies are biased cold. If you put #7 or higher groove tubes in them, it brings the tubes into the correct range. Gives it more warmth. The EL34-LS tubes have a tighter bottom end. Then the 5751 pre amp tube back the gain off by 30%. Makes the Stiletto sound like a great old Marshall. Very little gain, lots of bottom and thump. Our other guitar player has old Plexi's, and we get very similuar tones.

I'm a tube freak if you didn't notice. I match the correct tubes to the amp, and how I want it to sound. Been doing that since the 1980s. Paul Rivera taught be about tubes back then, and being OCD, I went crazy with it.
