I have a standard crybaby wah thats begging for some upgrades ... Would be stoked to have a Griffin mod
that's how I'm going to start ..... upgrading existing wah chassis's ...... most likely stick with original crybaby's ... the vox's are physically set up a little different inside ... but the circuits are almost identical .... but I'll start off doing the GCB95's ... Me, bass and drums. I wrote most of the music. We have a lot improvisation. Songs are usually under three minutes with short guitar solos in most of them.If you are going to be asked to play leads? I'd bring a wah for sure
If you aren't maybe it wont be necessary

Small place with a small stage.
Single channel NMV amp. A prototype I am becoming familiar with. Everything controlled by the guitar.
If the wife doesn't keep me too busy maybe I will mess around with a few pedals today.
I'm very interested in what Wayne is doing.
I would probably be bringing a wah for sure, as well as a couple other things depending on the volume![]()
It's going to be loud. The Valley in Tacoma.I would probably be bringing a wah for sure, as well as a couple other things depending on the volume![]()
Gonna use my gcb95 for a Halloween cover show & after that I can box it up & ship it out to RI ! Not gonna need a crybaby for my normal band stuff on account of that sweet GA cocked wah/delay coming in the mailthat's how I'm going to start ..... upgrading existing wah chassis's ...... most likely stick with original crybaby's ... the vox's are physically set up a little different inside ... but the circuits are almost identical .... but I'll start off doing the GCB95's ... Amplified parts sells them ...My classic setup was boost, wah, and something swirling out front - mostly flange - and then we did something where I wanted volume swells and got into that for awhile. Great, simple setup. I'm definitely a wah abuser at times.......don't ban me for it! lol
I'd be interested. I haven't done any of the various pedals you've done, but I'd be interested here. Where are you going to source chassis? I've wanted to build one for a while but can't track down anyone sell a chassis anymore. I used to see them, but it's been a minute,
Geoffrey said at that time that he attributed a bad shipment of switches to the issues players were having. but switch issues aside i could never find the sweet top end in the teese wahs that the old vox had.My teese has been rock solid, but I also don't use it much. Amazing you had all those issue, but glad you had the Vox to save the day.
I used to think I couldn't play live without a wah, now I can't remember the last time I used one live. I do like to mess with the wah at home, so cool to part it at a place to cut through, but its hard with PB space on my gigging boards is at a premium.
I currently have a Cantrell Wah on my board that kicked my RMC and Fulltone Deluxe to the closet. Something in that vain would be very appealing.I am quietly looking for a Dunlop type that is switchless. Cantrell type in tone.
