Its just a mRak 5 with an extra EQ and couple mini toggles no ... ?

Personally after 40 years with primarily single channel Marshalls IDK what i would do with all that.

I will say JP has the best clean tone ive ever heard but all his rig's dirt channels sound bout the same to me.

I think is sounds very nice. The gain holds together seemingly better than the Mark V while sounding less compressed. I'd like to hear it thru a 4 x 12 and EMGs though, :)

Gotta hand it to Sweetwater, putting out videos with guys who are really knowledgeable, going through the changes of each setting instead of some random dude just playing it.

Overall I think it sounds pretty good, considering that all the settings are 12 O'Clock, I think it could sound even better when you really get some time to dial it in. The cab sim though didn't sound too good.

And WHAT!? Rackmount version?!

No, both channels 2 and 3 are totally different between the two amps.

Just consider that this multi channel amp costs less than your single channel amps or the boutique amps costing $1,000 more...and I bet those boutique builders don't hit their amps with a rubber mallet to ensure their build integrity.

Bogner does that too.

Yeah, I agree with most, it sounds really good and better than any Mk V demo I've heard. When they pull the presence on high gain I'm hearing close to what my 2C+ sounds like the way I dial it in. And so versatile! Really cool amp!

It has that giant power transformer. It has Midi which is what the V should have.. are the inners wired for Triode?

That's a good question. I know Petrucci always used Pentode on the IV/V, but I thought Mesa didn't introduce that in the Mark series until the last revisions of the III.

I poured through the JP2C manual and they made no mention of Triode that I found.

I was messing around with my Mark V last night on 2C Pentode and it was pretty raw and in your face! I liked it. Triode is really soft sounding in comparison.

The Mark V manual says that ALL 2C's were wired for Triode.

As usual, no metal from SW. They should have Ola Englund or Fluff do their demos. That guy bores me.

The only thing I hate about Ola's videos is that he manages to get all the amps to sound incredible, even crappy practice combos.

60/100 Mark series Boogies are wired with all four tubes in Pentode.

Oh yeah, check out this fuckin shred control!!! (weak ass fart playing)

Can't wait for some real people to start getting these for a decent demo.

Christ that cab clone is shit.

I am not a fan of the cab clone. I had that stand alone cab device. Sold it within a week.

Yet again it sounds boring as shit. As was said above, there's no telling until I play one in person or someone buys it and puts out some rad clips.

People, not you guys in particular, are way too picky when it comes to clips. Nothing compares to playing it yourself. You need to just buy one from a place with a good return policy and try it out for yourself with your gear. No YouTube video, no matter how good, actually captures the essence or feel of an amp. Just appreciate the fact that they're trying to get as many clips showing different styles as possible. What is boring to you is exactly what other people are looking to see, and what you find awesome is boring to someone else.
