I am an old POD geek. The cab sims held these things back, it was a big thing early on. I'd see guys running them with the cab sims on, into nice 4x12s and a power amp...and wondering why it sounded washed. Once one turns the cabs off and re-eq's the preamps, they slam on tube power amps and even SS amps.

100% agree. My friend still has his XT and I wanted to borrow it to reminisce when I had one. I tried it with my own custom made IRs and holy shit it sounded amazing. We’ve come a LONG way with IR captures today. Much more accurate. Line 6 was really ahead of its time.

Operation big racks (lol) is a success!!! I have them… plus a furman rack unit. The gator case is freaking nice
