Always wanted one of those when they came out.

Didn’t have a shop locally that carried them.

I always heard great things about them.

If I ever saw one of their top models locally for a Killer price I might snag one.

Dang man that looks really nice. What’s the back made out of?
Man no idea. EDIT-
solid spruce top and rosewood back and sides. Mahogany neck, ebony board. It’s a rifle not a cannon… I bet a jumbo like this would project like a howitzer….

This is a pre fender one. The clear coat is peeling off of it. I would be pissed if I paid retail. Doesn’t affect sound or playability but it looks like it has scurvy….

...The clear coat is peeling off of it…
Back when Tacoma installed their UV-cure system, they utilized the guy that started the finish department for Warmoth as a consultant. Tacoma was just down the road from Warmoth. He trained their guys on each step of the finish process. He had warned them from day one that if they deviated from the steps that finishes would not cure properly and eventually peel. When Tacoma told the guy they were all trained up and good to go, they kicked him loose and immediately started skipping the steps he trained them on to save time. This is exactly why most if not all pre-Fender Tacoma's have a peeling finish today.

I'm not going to drop the guy's name, but he and I have been friends since the 80's.

Tell him that he’s a genie in the bottle and he forecasted that perfectly. Ask him what I can do to fix it if you don’t mind…. If it can be fixed….

I have a Tacoma DM-10 I bought about 30 years ago. Neck needs some work. Sound is excellent. Sold others and it's still around.

Congratulations
Very nice

Yeah I’ve got an old orig Tacoma dreadnaught with that scurvy. Pretty much all of the sides are gone and 3/4 of the front and back are gone…looks like shit but sounds great
