Don't care for it, sadly. Saying that as someone who often thinks folks here are too hard on new material from the classic acts sometimes(we were spoiled we got to see the good shit in it's day).

Nothing to hate about anything Ozzy imo, but Oz and Zakk both peaked on No More Tears... still wish he would do an album with Jake again.

I actually think they peaked at NRFTW, and NMT was the beginning of the end.
New song? ... Hell I dunno. Old man still brings it, for a dude his age. I ain’t buying it. Or the new Tool.

Just got my Ticketmaster notification that Ozzy has cancelled his 2020 'No More Tears' Tour. I was really looking forward to seeing him and Zakk - for probably the last time. He cancelled it last year due to his ATV accident and it got moved to 2020.

He has some new album promo commitments and then he heads to Italy for treatment for his Parkinson's. He said in a recent interview that he'd rather cancel the whole tour and give people their money back vs having to cancel shows sporadically with little notice. :dunno:

Sucks...but I wish him the best

The song they released today "it's a Raid" is bloody terrible   .... although I will say it is a style Ozzy has never done before :D

The thing that I don't "get" with this Parkinson's thing is Ozzy confirmed a few days ago that it is not a new diagnosis but the one that we were told about in 2003 (https://www.blabbermouth.net/news/ozzy- ... f-my-life/) ..

So why has it been made a big deal now? The cynic in me says it's because he has a new album coming out...but the fan in me wonders if things are a lot worse than what they have told us

I heard "It's A Raid" and was pretty bummed to be honest...although "Straight To Hell" has more of my interest.
Wishing Ozzy the best with recent health challenges and this new music!!

He made his bones, I respect that he is still working it, still bringing it.
Blizzard, Diary, Bark...these are ULTIMATE classics, IMO. Shaped my playing as a young buck.
All I can say is THANKS!!

Unfortunately, I heard the 2020 tour has been cancelled for health reasons...anyone confirm??

Yes. See my post from last night :D :(

I've heard a few songs from the new album and some are ok. The album sounds very "pieced together" in my opinion but I'm sure with his condition they had to adjust a lot of things, fix issues with timing and pitch, etc. I think Ozzy doing the "Ahh, ahh, ahhhhhhhh", etc. with an obscene amount of effects in songs to give this heavenly sound to them, is definitely being overdone.

Ordinary Man is one of the best songs he’s done in a long time. Heard this song just after he revealed all the health problems he’s had and it puts a lump in my throat every time I hear it now.
Heard the Sirius stream of the album and interviews with all the band. It’s a great collection of songs, not all are winners for sure, but Ozzy sounds great, he sounded so robotic on Black Sabbath 13 after the idiot producer making him do a zillion takes.
They talked about that in the special, don’t know who this producer/guitarist is but apparently he was way more easy going and Ozzy put out his best performances because of that.
Slash’s solo on Ordinary Man is also awesome, I could tell it was him right away, it is so tasteful and perfect for the song, amazing phrasing and choice of notes. I really felt his Michael Schenker influence there that everyone forgets about.

I found the album somewhat weak, and a tad on the cheesy side. I know he's 71, but the production is a bit flat, guitar tones are fizzy, and Slash's solo on Ordinary Man was lackluster, at best. But, I've never had the fanboy affliction to Slash that so many do. I find him incredibly overrated.

Yeah, that Sirius thing was great! It was cool hearing them talk about some of the different parts, etc. I need to go back and listen to Ordinary Man again.
