..also listening to Tate's new effort Operation Mindcrime: The Key...I like it...shrug.

He usually has a couple good tunes, but the rest of the material is either "meh" or horrid. I like the two I have heard from his latest album though.

I like the other group better. Their first post Tate album was pretty good but the mix/production sounded very dated to me. Still, I thought it was the best since Q2K.

I'm not really in either camp, I'll happily listen to both if I like the music.......or neither if it all sucks.

I spent today listening to the new Operation Mindcrime release (Tate). Absolutely struggling to get into it. Don't hate it, but... The opposite of that would be the "other" Queesryche with Todd singing. I can't get enough of them and will see them next Friday. I was a huge La Torre fan by his brief tenure in Crimson Glory - how did someone let this guy drum (only) for years and years! I can only imagine...

Yeah, the early realease tracks were the best I think, couple of other solid efforts, 5 tracks of filler......considering how shot his voice is, I thought it would be unlistenable but I honestly dig the production more than the new QR effort....the OM is a bit unimaginative in the guitar solo dept. though...no one is really a solid metal lead player in the band.
