I like it more than 800 studio. Had it, heard it. Unbelievable but that sharp gnarly mids are there in this little box, lack of tubes doesnt matter that much

Oh you aren't lying about those mids man - they are in there in loads. I do have to have it kinda cranked - but damn it sounds just great.

They got it right, I use it with MS50g hacked boost, gain is at 7,8 - less is shrill, more is unpleasant diode clip. Low input. There are complaints at speaker, at bedroom volume it's great though. Had DSL5 with greenbacks and didn't like it even more than 800 studio. I'm very curious how vintage 800 combos behave and sound
