What happened to Tommy Aldrich?
That is just it though. The eighties are gone, never to return. However, the bands are still here and rockin'... and it's great to see them adding some modern flair to their sound without sacrificing what made them awesome in the past. This is true not just for Whitesnake, but also for bands like Ratt or Dokken as well IMO.SFW":1a67q41y said:I think the current lineup has kept the flame alive. They take the classic Whitesnake sound and put a new spin on it.

It's all Suhr/Golub mods in Doug's rig these days... I much preferred his Cameron tone. The Suhr/Golub tone is not my thing at all.

Not at all.. Doug used ALSO his usual main rig, but he also used various things like a RR Marshall, a 18w and a 30w Suhr amps and a Marshall Class 5. He also mentioned a Line6 in a recent interview... you will probably hear something different on the next tour..
When Sykes left Whitesnake, they were done for me.
