I'll give this and the other songs some more listens definitely but I'm definitely not a fan of "Shut up and Kiss Me" during the chorus. It echoes new Def Leppard a bit and even worse, Nickelback. I just have this weird quirk about songs with those too catchy lines like "something in your mouth" or "you get to the top of my bottom" and stuff like that. It is like I can't unheard it once I hear it.

I do like the sound of it though and I'm going to keep an open mind with this album. :)

I agree on the Juvenile lyrics but too me
Those guys in nickleback can riff pretty good when then want
Burn it to the Ground. Animals
Feed the Machine

And they have a huge guitar sound

come on girls, kiss my shrivelled old prunes
that's gotta be some low hanging fruit

Sadly, I feel like Reb has been playing the same tapping run for 30 years. I am sort of over it but I do like his playing sans tap a lot! Tones and production were great on this one, lyrics a little cheesy when you consider the grandpa singing them. Coverdale's voice has def gone the way of Paul Stanley's so it will be interesting to see if he stays true to the spirit of rock or if he decides to use a lead vocal backing track live like Sir Stanley is doing.

Bta wasnt Reb a bona fide EMG user? any ideas which pickups he's using now? Suhrsomething?

He has had that guitar for a while, SSV in the bridge and I think ML single coils. He talks about in one of his rig rundowns...

Wow. As some mentioned * Nickleback. Just bring the pitch up a bit and no dropped c# or whatever they use and it's there, I personally didnt get a Lepard vibe from it, mainly because the guitar sounds and no blistering chromatic runs with the titanium floyd and of course no falsetto huge backing vocals, would agree with the plastic surgeon was way overpaid, not sure how many hot 67 year old dudes are being pinned up on posters by groupies but I could be wrong. He looks like someone , couldn't quite put my finger on it. Was it Jimmy Page with blonde hair, something about the face. Oh well. I dont have to worry I'll never afford facial surgery and I am sure people would rejoice if I could, lol. Biggest disappointment for me was the sound. The song lacks yes. But 2019 and that's the produced recording with all the available technology? I've heard better YouTube videos with cell phones. Maybe the money was spent on the surgery,. Not even close to sounding as good as the 30+ year old recordings on vinyl. IMO. Maybe the CD will have something that stamps time like the Sykes record.

His voice was only as strong as the backing track.. watch the first five shows and listen to the exact same backing track. Someone even layered them on youtube. Hey, it is what it is!

Agree. Stanley’s voice strong was a funny comment.

not offended
not impressed

hits me as a staple in the catalog of songs on an 80's movie soundtrack...

pass

Also, is that the same blue blazer from the Here I Go Again vid?

I will actually take Nickelback over this
Depending on the song of course
But feed the machine the Betrayl
Way better songs
The WS guitar duo is obviously better but they really have nothing to work with here

LOL.. I just caught that watching another clip... they had me fooled!

Embarassingly terrible. These are guys who have immense talent, age might weather that talent, but it's still there. Use it to your advantage.

Nickelback writes great hooks...there’s no hook here.

Reb is one of those guys who kept his stuff together here, and I'm glad to see him get the main solo. GREAT solo, someone said same lick? No not really, same technique that he uses to tap, yeah so what...what's wrong with that? Like saying Paul Gilbert, still doing that alternate picking lol. Solo was very inspiring and melodic, while still rippin'! I liked that solo very much, got a great feel to it. Cool guy to boot, good attitude and funny! The comments here read more nasty than on the actual youtube comment section lol which are generally pretty positive.
