Just came in and only got a few minutes with it, but it definitely sounds sick. Still getting the Marshall flavor a little, which surprises me since the Mesa I had from him sounded nothing like a Recto...but I'm very much a Marshall guy so I think I like this better.

I made an attempt to record the shortest of clips and still some how managed to fuck it up, think my DAW was causing skipping during recording. This is my LTD EC-1000 w/ Lollar Imperials in Drop D with the settings as shown (Henric's) except I cranked the gain to 10 and then through a Greenback IR (Two Notes Friedman pack).

And since my clip sucked, here are the ones he posted to his YouTube for this specific amp.

Some more clips, same signal path with slightly tweaked settings (mostly playing with the different mid switches). I coil split and used some delay on the first clip at one point (also manually turned the gain down for it), then when going back to humbuckers my push pull decided to crap out so you can hear the signal die in real time until I hit it in again.

This one is the same as the original post but a little longer and less glitchy. Riffs are from a band called Blacklisted.

I like how raunchy the gain is compared to the dry stiff sound of wizards recently shared. Sounds super fun to play and very inspiring.

Congrats on the killer amp!

Ya know I never considered that Wizard comparison, but I hear it in these clips.

In the room I think it's less so, so those IRs might be doing some of the work; but they both do have sharp highs and percussive lows. Mids are wayyyy better than my MCII and MTL.

Another thing I'm noticing as I play this more is that, unlike his Recto mods, some of the switching options can get this closer to the donor amp sound. By no means close enough to warrant selling a stock Plexi, but back when I had his Recto it was incomparable to stock.

It's just so much gain :ROFLMAO:

When I listen to the Hermansson 5GS stuff I can't help but giggle with just how gainy it is. We live in fantastic time for distorted guitar tones.

The Racktifier I have with his mods can get close to stock. I've tried every variant of the 5GS for Mesa, but the Racktifier is the most versatile of them all

A caught a clip of a recent Racktifier he posted the other month and it sounded way better than the Recto I used to have. Wonder if he's still tweaking his formula on these mods.

I thought his Mesa mods were 4GS though?

You are right! 4GS not 5. Didn’t have my coffee yet.

Yeah that Racktifer he recorded is the one I have.

Dude, Hermansson has the magic touch and ear. My Hermansson PA is SO GNARLY. 4 channels and each channel sounds great and it also has a great clean channel. I am so fired up, 2 and a half years later and still excited each time I plug in. Congrats on killer amp.
