It was a tough decision-whether or not I wanted a pickguard. I don't regret my decision though, I've always preferred the look of a pickguarded LP.

Damn that's nice!! Like a super custom shop Les Paul! Must have cost double that of an R9 - my guesimate anyway.

Good choice putting the guard on - I think Les Pauls need a guard - or else they are trying to be PRS's!

Seems to depend solely on your preferred aesthetic. I personally prefer LPs with a guard.
