NGD: Rarity, Guess Who Built It?

I got this beauty in the mail today, these are relatively rare, very good quality guitars. Only got to play it for a few minutes before going to work :( Can anyone guess who makes it? If I didnt know already, theres no way I would have guessed.

Looks like a Carvin by the look of the pickup mounting screws. Two on one side/one on the other.
 
Still good guesses, it was inspired by alembic, built in the 70s from what ive found, and was made by a well known company. The quality is much better than anything they made these days, well at least that Ive seen.

I would of guessed Travis Bean from the body shape. But I'm not sure they made a all wooden neck guitar.
 
I was going to guess Cort. I had a similar looking one back in the 80's.
