The new Custom Line Caparison Angelus CL15s at NAMM were sick. Found these factory shots of it. What do you think? There is another color I haven't found pics of yet.

Too many frets. Otherwise, great looking guitar. I'd have a hard time not buying the new wine-colored 7 string if it had 22 frets.

I have had the Collings CLs and 290s, very nice. Necks are too thick for me. The Knaggs never have impressed me. Too similar to a PRS in feel.

24 frets is too much? :p

Top looks nice and I like the inlays. But 24 frets I don't like and the placement of the knobs and toggle switches looks discombobulated.

I've played a few Collings guitars. I had the same thoughts on it as I do with PRS guitars: beautiful woods, impeccable fit and finish, and I kinda hated it. Played great but was just "meh." Felt like plastic or something in my hands.

Nice!

God, some people are VERY specific about there guitars. I'll play just about anything that stays in tune, 22, 24 frets, doesn't matter... I adapt.

I LOVED the 290, but the neck wasn't right for me. Then again, it is really pricey for what it is if you think about it. :D The others I agree with you on.

I feel that way about all Korean made guitars I've played (and Carvin guitars) - more like furniture than a musical instrument.

Sometimes I think it has to do with the thick hard finish but I'm really not sure.

Could probabil do as well with Carvin and save some $$$...

I'm very curious about Caparisons. It's definitely on my GAS list of guitars.

Looks SWEEET
I think the guitar in the first pic and the 2nd guitar in the double pic are the same guitar. The 2nd guitar in the double pic seems to have a glossier finish at first glance, but the flame is absolutely identical.
Never seen that on 2 different guitars, even guitars from the same log
Not that it really matters :)
