Norum's side project: Nordic Beast

Always loved Mickey Dee's drumming on King Diamond's stuff. The guy is a monster, great energy. Like the old school vocals here with a harder rock approach. Not just because I am a Norum fanboy, but because I think it could easily fit in well with today's rock soundscape while retaining enough of the old vibe for us fans of the 70's and 80's stuff.

Looks like Norum is also coming out with an instructional DVD. I'll be all over that.

The singer is Norwegian Åge Sten Nilsen. He's a great singer, he did a Queen Tribute a couple of years ago.

After King Diamond, Mickey Dee's talents were very wasted in Motorhead, but hey, feeding his family was much more important! Sounds great here though.

This is pretty cool, although I don't think the world needs yet another 70's rock pastiche band.

It is retro revival of sorts but it has a cool vibe and doesn't sound as dated as some of the other stuff coming out by his peers today.

True.. but they are covering EACH OTHER's material so technically it is a cover as they are not playing in any of each other's said bands lol. I get what you are saying though..
