Note to self… and eerbody else…

And just like that…. Ruined….

So explain why the volume is kinda low? They are wired in correctly. They are 700 watt 15”’s…. And while sounding good, don’t seem to have a lot of volume… do I need to port the cab or something else? Not what I expected.

I prefer the opeth version
I posted it because I ran a Strat with Fuzz Face and Echoplex, into a Plexi Superbass 100 and a JBL 2x15 Dual Showman cab, for many years.

Opeth are after my time. I left Stockholm in ‘88. I knew Marcel Jacob and John Norum quite well, and had recorded with the two original Rising Force guys. I missed the next generation coming up. In ‘88 it was all Racer X, Cacophany etc, with some Candlemass and Motörhead thrown in for luck. Kings X and Ratt if you were lucky.
Wasn’t uncommon to hear a couple of 15 year-olds immaculately alternate-picking harmony runs in Southside music store.

Being 700 watt, they aren’t going to have efficiency. That’s your problem. Suggest you give them 700 watts each then.

What's the SPL rating? Larger size doesn't always equal louder volume.
Porting the cab probably won't do much volume wise. Porting is mainly for tuning the resonant frequency.

Also double check that both speakers are in phase. Volume loss could be from frequency cancellation it they are out of phase. You can test the polarity with a 9V battery.
