I think It sounds really good in front of the dmoll clean channel with the mid cut on. Then I can use my eventide in the loop, Then I can just click it off and go to channel 3 of dmoll for a different flavor
This is a badass tool to use for sure. Between the vh4 pedal, fortin grind, Maxon od808, there isn't many tones the dmoll won't do. Very impressed Diezel!!!

It gets crazy loud quick straight into the loop return, didn't work with my setup as well as the front.

That makes no sense, it was designed for that use. Loud or not it should sound awesome.

Cool it sounds good up front as well.

What do you mean by "I can still use my eventide"? You can use the eventide in either setup unless you
Mean switching the loop in and out for fx.

Here is some reading on fx loops that may help dispel some.of the mystery.

Your looking too hard into this. Never said it didn't sound awesome hooked up like that, and yes,
I Understand it was made to run into the loop return (power amp)
And the front, I get that, it's laid out on the pedal.
I have 3 amps, I only planned to use this pedal with my dmoll, to add another flavor.
I like to be able to move 3 cables quickly to play another head. I'm not trying to reroute my setup, which includes a pro rack g, for a preamp pedal. I planned to use it as another flavor I could access quickly and it's Volumes are matched better running up front, to use all
My dmoll channels also. So to me it's better up front. So I can use all of my gear the way i intended to use it.
I was just giving my opinion, which I'm fully entitled since I actual have the pedal.
I meant "use my eventide" as I have it set as line level, and all my loops sound better like that.
I'd have to take it off my board and connect it to the vh4 pedal and reroute everything, is all I was saying.

Ahh I see that now. I was just trying to help you. You didn't explain much of that so I assumed you didn't quite understand the fx loop.

I also was only suggesting using through the loop to see if its cool there, not that you should change your setup. :)

And I do appreciate that help, I've read a lot of your pedal posts, and learned some too. Your more knowledged in that area for sure. I'm learning how cool they can help the amps I have and add to them.

Totally agree with you about running the pedal up front than through the loop. It sounds good in the loop but amazing up front. So far digging mine!

VH4 in a Pedal. It is a cool idea... Bogner did it too. I'm not sure how "real" those pedals feel. But in front of a tube amp, i would be interested to try.

It's kinda strange. Diezel is a german company, but that pedal is made in the us and not available in germany till next month.... mmh...

need more videos!!! now! geez guys you're not helping.. does anyone have a marshall amp and could you do a video running the vh4 using the fx loop. purty plz!

Just received mine. Thru a Marshall power amp sounds like a VH4.
Same thru my Randall RT2/50.
Awesome pedal.
Very well done, Peter.

You should do a VH4 vs. the VH4 pedal without seeing what's what. See if we notice the difference between the pedal and the real deal.

How about this....there is a difference! SHOCKER!! I know.

I know there is a difference, obviously. But I'm curious how big of a difference/how close they sound alike.

someone already did ... (skip to 40:00)

Sounds really good. Nice demo Reza. I may grab one at some point.

in that video I do not even like how the original VH4 sounds (too thin and shrill and bitey) not even to mention the pedal that's a beehive.
But that kraut is known for such sounds, the majority of clips he posts are just... unpleasant...
