It sounds incredibly good and close to the actual thing. For those of you that are stuck in thinking you cannot use a pedal over a real amp etc etc.... I'm 100% sure you wouldn't know it's a pedal on a live situation or a recorded tone for that matter, even more so if it's in a band context with other instruments.

I agree with those points.

mostly.

For me the way it sounds is directly connected to the way it feels. This would not respond like a tube amp therefore personally I would not like playing through it. For me the guitar pickup MUST be connected to the input grid of a tube. I have a plethora of tube buffer so this is always achievable for me.

I have made the mistake of taking a budget rig out on tour with the thinking "no one else can tell." the problem was I could still tell and had a miserable uninspiring experience. Never again.

To each their own, pedals don't ever work for me no matter how nice they are.

I see what you mean now, and I guess it's true, if the rig "FEELS" uninspiring to play it's terrible.

Well, Reza's original post said "it feels amazing, like the real thing."

I still want to check one out. Also I don't know where y'all are seeing $400. They are $299 where I'm looking.

You should do a VH4 vs. the VH4 pedal without seeing what's what. See if we notice the difference between the pedal and the real deal.

Something strange about the top end. It comes in with the pick hit then the low end thud comes in.

I guess that sort of tone just isn't my thing. Not sure what you'd use it for. Modern Hard rock?

definitely NOT your thing at all. stay away from this pedal at all costs. Nothing strange about the top end though other than youtube compression adding some artifacts around 8k.

Why can't you handle someone's non-glowing opinion? You are ARGUING with his opinion! Wait...!!! Don't be so butthurt if someone doesn't parallel your every thought. People are different.

I'm glad you did the video because now I'm NOT interested. It works both ways!

lol. I never argued his opinion. and I don't care if someone likes it or not. I made a video for everyone to see hear and evaluate for themselves...

He said he heard something weird in the highs. Then you immediately said there was nothing weird 'cept YouTube. Then you say TO AVOID THE PEDAL AT ALL COSTS!!!.!.?!. W/e I'm out. You'll always be like this.

How about this....there is a difference! SHOCKER!! I know.

I don't really think there is a point to all that work.
The AMP has tubes and other elements that are part of an overall picture.

the pedal is a pedal. If you plug it into something with tubes..it will sound pretty good. Like my original video at the top of this thread...that was into the front end of a Soldano SLO-100.

If you go into the power section of a VH4 , you are gonna miss the preamp tubes...all kinds of color gone.

just take it for what it IS...its not trying to be a replacement for the amp, just a great pedal thats got 100% Diezel DNA. not a cheap imitation attempt at the tone.

I know there is a difference, obviously. But I'm curious how big of a difference/how close they sound alike.

I haven't had the opportunity to play an actual Vh4, but if this pedal is accurate, shit. I'm loving this pedal into the front of my dmoll. I think I need a VH4

When does the vh2 come out?

Will it make that big of a difference?

Hahaha oh I get it,
But for real, is it worth loosing the loop for delays?

The delay goes after the pedal. The pedal is replacing.your preamp.

Just FYI you dont have to lose your fx loop i you stick the pedal into the return.. what I use to a great extent is a looper/boost pedal which has an inbuilt loop.

You basically go guitar - preamp pedal - input on bypass loop pedal - output to amp FX return.
And then from the send on the loop pedal to your FX, through all your modulation FX back to the return of that loop pedal

A friend of mine modded a pedal for me, basically we hooked this up with a transistor amp to make sure that the toggle boosts your volume with up to 5db which is more than enough to not get lost in mix.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Saturnworks-Tru ... xyRhBSsnwO

I've got this one, we had to mod it cause you'd get the same level if your nominal volume only when you push the rotary thingy to the max. And i actually wanted some extra dbs out of it, was an easy fix that cost me like $8 extra.

I think It sounds really good in front of the dmoll clean channel with the mid cut on. Then I can use my eventide in the loop, Then I can just click it off and go to channel 3 of dmoll for a different flavor
This is a badass tool to use for sure. Between the vh4 pedal, fortin grind, Maxon od808, there isn't many tones the dmoll won't do. Very impressed Diezel!!!

It gets crazy loud quick straight into the loop return, didn't work with my setup as well as the front.
