Nice demo dude
Mine will be here tomorrow. Gonna put it into the dmoll return. Then try it out front, pumped!

Wow that sounds a lot like the VH4. With the gain below noon it really sounded great. Will need to check this out. I'd run into probably the low input of a JCM 800.

it is rather expensive, but - I am kinda tempted to try it out.
My main rig now is an AMT p2 into the fx loop of a marshall jvm 50w amp.. the diezel could be a nice addition to having a different sound really.

Does it have a clean channel of some sort or is it just raw signal feeding the power amp if I disengage it? Could be nasty if you can't simply run it in the fx loop that easily...

there's one more in-room video on YT and it growls like fuck! vh4 pedal in to 2/50/2 power amp..

Good point, you would need a boss bassman pedal or sansamp for decent cleans also that way.

Video I sent cool.

I'd like to hear someone use it in front of a Mesa Strategy 400 or some other massive tube power amp.

Man I definitely need to check one of these out! I have been wanting "something" Diezel for a while now and this may scratch that itch. Anyone tried the Zerrer?

Sure. Has an additional clean crunch channel and some bells and whistles like headphone out, aux in and such ...

Nice video reza, thanks.

Dont take this as a slam but it sounds like a pedal to me, as it should after all.

The diezel character is there, easy to hear.

It reminds me of the bogner red, not in tone but in the way the breakup sounds as SS.

I like the new wave of tubelike distortion pedals but I could only see myself considering this pedal if my budget did not allow an actual diezel amplifier.

Even then I doubt I'd choose a SS pedal over an amp or preamp. At this point if its SS for me, its a modeler.

I did however recommend it to a friend with a simple clean amp pedal setup who drools over my amps.

I also want to hear it as a preamp.

Well said. Thats what I meant when a said it sounds a bit boxy. Small footprint and "grainier" than the real thing. That doesnt = bad sounding

Agreed this thing crushes something like an MT-2 into dust.

I have no experience with the Kemper, but this pedal sounds much more like a VH4 than the AFXII and BIAS modelers that I've used. Maybe some are better, but this really sounds like a VH4, at least the initial "oomph" of it. As it sustains, it's not quite right. That sound is one of my favorite things about the VH4, so I did notice it right away at the pedal doesn't quite have the same decay/sustain. But it's a $400 pedal versus a several thousand dollar amp. And it got better once Rezza turned the gain below noon. I was impressed.

Sounds awesome.
I've got a VH4 and I think I still want one of these.
Great vid, one of the closest ones I've heard to what ch3 actually sounds like to me in the flesh.

Another great demo that's gonna cost me more $$$! THANKS REZA!!!   This and the BE-OD will be on my Christmas list.

Peter, does it make a difference when the pedal is powered with 18 Volts instand of 12 Volts? More headroom with 18 and more compression with 12v?

It sounds incredibly good and close to the actual thing. For those of you that are stuck in thinking you cannot use a pedal over a real amp etc etc.... I'm 100% sure you wouldn't know it's a pedal on a live situation or a recorded tone for that matter, even more so if it's in a band context with other instruments.

I agree with those points.

mostly.

For me the way it sounds is directly connected to the way it feels. This would not respond like a tube amp therefore personally I would not like playing through it. For me the guitar pickup MUST be connected to the input grid of a tube. I have a plethora of tube buffer so this is always achievable for me.

I have made the mistake of taking a budget rig out on tour with the thinking "no one else can tell." the problem was I could still tell and had a miserable uninspiring experience. Never again.

To each their own, pedals don't ever work for me no matter how nice they are.
