On the cheaper priced side, I just picked up a Danelectro Cool Cat Transparent OD. It's a Timmy clone with a metal case & it's true bypass. This pedal honestly kicks the crap out of my other OD pedals.

Also check out the Danelectro Cool Cat Drive pedal. I saw a comparison video on Youtube with a OCD and they sounded nearly identical. The video is done by germandude (Jack Black) I recomend at least watching the Timmy/Trans OD comparision and the Drive/OCD to see for yourself.
Seriouly? wow that a drop in price. they go for around $40 .

Yes sir! According to Code001, the Cool Cat Drive is a clone of the Fulltone OCD V1/V2 in HP position, the Transparent Overdrive is a clone of the Timmy, and the Distortion is a clone of the M.I. Audio Crunchbox.

VERY cool!

Cool vids. Well at that price, I dont think I can fight off my curiosity. The dano it will be.

Whats the Difference between the Xotic BB and the AC. Found a good deal on a used AC .

The AC is more in the vein of a Tubescreamer. It's way more flexible than a typical TS with the tone controls and has extra gain if you want it. Warmer sounding than the BB.

Warmer than a BB! Im going to go get one now

Can't go wrong with the Xotic BB

The AC and RC are awesome as well.

Tone Freak Abunai 2, great TS-style and PLENTY more.

+1

Had one for about a week and REALLY wanted to keep it. Awesome pedal! Warm and very versatile.

Not mentioned yet but, my go to:

MI Audio Blues Pro

Well, I decided to give the Danos a try. I just spent $70 for 2 new pedals. The Transparent Overdrive and the Drive. Still want a Maxon and a BB/AC - someday. Thank you everyone for your suggestions.

Recieved the 2 Dano pedals todays. WOW! Talk about bang for your buck. The Transparent OD is huge sounding and also crystal clear. Killed my rat, keely SD-1, TS-9, and my buddies OD808. It was actually funny. We also compared it to his v4 OCD - The Transparent OD was easier to dial with it bass and treble controls. We both liked the Dano a little more than the OCD.

The Dano "Drive" pedal is suposed to be an OCD clone. We thought it sounded good - especialy for single note stuff, but it didnt sound to much like the OCD v4. But for 25 bucks, who cares.

I just picked up a Danelectro Cool cat Transparent OD on Ebay after watching some video and talking to another owner of one.
For $40.00 I couldnt go wrong. Have a Modded Boss SD-1 at the moment that sounds Great......but 'thins' out my overall tone while it is pushing it.
I like the TIMMY pedal VS the Danelectro video. Damn close to me.
Will give feedback when I get it this up coming week in the mail.

I generally don't post about it too much, since I try to support the creators, but this is correct. Any differences you hear can generally be contributed to component tolerances. If you do a search, you'll see it's fairly well known throughout the effects communities out there.

I have 3 I like a lot, they are all very different. OCD, Keeley modded SD-1, and a Cmatmods Brownie, which is not very well known, but is fantastic in its own way. probably as close to "plexi in a box" as I have heard. ( I always laugh when someone uses that term, but this thing will suprise you ) mine is an older version.

Nice.........
They are SWEET arent they???

I don't have one on the board with the amps I currently use. But, I bought a little gem to use with the Marshall's when I get into a vintage Marshall moment. It is a Lovepedal Purple Plexi. Super quiet when bypassed and loads of overdriven gain, not that fuzzy crap normally found in others. They have a good line up of pedals for those in search of OD.
