The show was great, I spent most of my time traveling back and forth between the Cameron, Friedman, Metro, and Suhr rooms. Brad, Rob, Mark Day, Dave Friedman, and Jerry from Luxxtone are a bunch of great guys and showed me a lot of hospitality. I came in from Michigan late Saturday and spent the entire day on Sunday at the show. No surprise that the Cameron and Friedman amps were just ripping. Lots of good players and got to meet a couple fellow rig talkers. I'm a big fan of Pete Thorns and was great to meet him and watch him play his Suhr handwired SL-68 that was insane! George at Metro amps is a cool dude that only lives about an hour from me. His Metro-Friedman amp sounded great also, right there with the Suhr SL-68. Going to this show let me hear a lot of amps I would never get to play or hear in person. It has really helped me with the direction I want to go tone and gear wise. Thanks to all for a great time, also I can't forget the Luxxtone guitars, those guitars feel right, the neck shapes and radius are great. Jerry uses top notch hardware and the guitars are setup great. One more thing, the Friedman Dirty Shirley kicked ass! Here are some pics, I got some video with my zoom q3hd and with verify with Brad and the guys before posting.

the dirty shirley looks so awesome with its matching cab!
 
I don't know the specifics, but it seems it's based on the 68 12,xxx circuit with some tweaks by Goerge and Dave.

quick note on the Luxtone, its rare for me to be able to pick up a guitar and have it play as if it had been in my hands for years. the white strat was killer. I grabbed it at random so I imagine its that consistant across the board. great stuf.

I've always felt lucky that a squier could feel as good as any top dollar guitar to me. But man I've played several luxxtones and there is something to those guitars that make them feel just outstanding. Don't know what he does but there's something!!

I loved the Thin Lizzy Cold Sweat and Racer X Hammer Away in the first video with Mark C.
He has to be one of the best (if not the) players on this forum or anywhere for that matter.
Not only can he build a killer amp....he knows how to use it too. I always dig the tunes he's playing UFO, Lizzy etc...stuff that's timeless.
He should get in a band and use those massive skills!
 
Jerry that Atomica amp sounds great. I think I might have to have one of these!
