OMFG, discovered doom/drone tone!

Okee bitches, teh clips are in. Here's the lowdown. First I show the bypass tone of the amp by slowly rolling up the volume knob on the guitar until it reaches max. After that I click in the DS-1 and play a riff, then I turn it off and click in the Big Muff (you can hear the click). After that I click in the DS-1 to have them both cascading as I do a slide.

That Boris clip I linked to above has DS-1 into Muff all over it. You get a pretty similar sound. I like it.

I was having a little trouble dialing it in, never sounded just right to me. I'll see if I can make a clip for you though.

My Tube Driver is a 100w amp, not the pedal version. Signal Path for the clip above is DS-1, Muff, Tube Driver.

She does run the Muff into a semi dirty Orange for some things though.
It depends on the song.

I've seen them a few times...so f'n loud, it's awesome!

I've never really understood Boris and why so many people are into them. Every time I've checked them out it was some weirdo rock'n'roll, not real heavy or anything mind-blowing, but doom/metalheads are all over them! What am I missing? Show me a song that's a good example of why they get so much praise!

I made a clip. Keep in mind that this is not a true A/B test of the amps by any means as mic position could have shifted and the recording volumes were different.

Dude, maybe I'm just that big of a muff fan, but I think your second clip, (muff, marshall) destroys the first one.
