Knowing the amount of time it probably took you to design, pontificate, test and build the Thor amps you have built, is time taken away from customers waiting on an amp that they have already given you money for
If I was a customer waiting 5+ years for an amp, and I found out you spent that much time on a new one that you advertised to the public, I'd be pissed. Untold number of hours flushed away at my expense. Sucks, but no surprise I suppose. Merry Christmas lol.
1 - I am not obliged to answer every question I am asked anywhere - especially not if it was asked in a visibly ironic manner without any real interest
2 - So you mean I should put new designs on hold until I've shipped all my backorders?
That would be the case in about 10 to 15 years
3 - If someone doesn't have the patience to wait so long until his amp is finished can always get his deposit back immediately

I keep this as my secret, which I will take with me to the grave sometime in 25 to 30 years.
But my girlfriend turned 21 in November and my daughter will be one year old in January.
So you have to be satisfied with the indication of my biological age

I actually enjoy your personality and wish you would be more self aware and embrace who you actually are.
But I enjoy your personality as a rig-talker and not as a manufacturer. I have said unkind things (that i felt were true) of other manufacturers on this site and they have taken it in stride and felt no need to respond as they have many people that like their amps. I have nothing bad to say about your amps other than being baffled that you claim to make a metal amp and use a parallel loop which makes gating useless.
It probably isn't my place to point out that you are a terror to deal with in business, but I, unlike you, want people to be aware of what they are getting into by sending that deposit

It seems like you don't know some things about me that have been discussed here in the forum earlier, so I would like to enlighten you a bit now:
I don't build amps because I want or need to earn money with it, but because I enjoy it and because it was my hobby, before I made it my profession 35 years ago.
Actually, I have some completely different educations such as automotive foreman, mechanical engineer and CAD designer (Catia).
I used to be a BMW tuner earlier and later worked in technical development at Audi/Ingolstadt until I switched to amps.
On the side, I had studied psychology and astrology.
So building my amps is really just a full-time hobby for me with a lot of fun building my amps and I wouldn't really need the money I earn with it to live, because I got to the side enough in time, but it's still recognition for my creations.
Fortunately, I am not under pressure to constantly work to fill up my fridge or to pay my rent
And I still have at least 25 years until my death. Therefore, no one has to fear losing their deposit

If people wouldn't give deposits for products not available for delivery then at this point it is their own damn fault........since they know the history and have been informed come 5 years later and still no amp......................................My question is more similar to the Facebook question someone asked on the Facebook link you posted - which you didn't answer. Your eyes getting burned is not really the issue directly - as shitty as that is.

I still don't think Larry should be taking deposits ahead of time on un-built amps but people are adults and have been warned and obviously are good with the situation.

I think it's terrible when the lively and extremely dynamic guitar signal in the amp is interrupted to force it through numerous semiconductors, where it is robbed of its dynamics and semiconductor noise is added to it before the signal is allowed back into the amp.
It's like a snappy dog on a chain.
Larry amps don't need a noise gate, because my circuits are extremely low in noise. You won't find an amp in this world that is as quiet as a Larry amp with the same gain and volume setting.
