OT: Some Life Changes.

Since everyone else is coming up to the table.....................right now I am 6'0" and tipping in around 220 and would love to dump 20 pounds. I was at 230 3 months ago and changed up some things esp lunch time and I am doing around 150-200 push-ups a day in the office to contain the Moobs :lol: :LOL:

I am almost 6'3" and weighed in about 212 a few weeks ago. I just need to get off my ass and do some cardio and trim up. Problem is the air quality here lately has been complete shit and I have been living on inhalers. I would really like to try some mild jogging but i'm afraid I'll drop dead from an asthma attack 3 blocks from my driveway.

6'6 and 230, but the wife is actually making me run and go to yoga...yuck! I still believe any activity I can't do from my couch isn't worth doing.
 
My weight is all over the board. At 6' 1" I was 158 my freshman year of college. Worked out extensively and graduated at 195. Quit working out while trying to "make it" as a musician post graduation and went back down to 175. Went to grad school, quit doing anything active, went up to an ugly 230...back to 190...up to 240...down to 200 in '07...hit my all time high of 258 last Christmas...hanging right now in the 220 zone.

What type of workout and diet are you going to do? I may join you...getting cut again would do wonders for my mid life crisis :lol: :LOL: :thumbsup:

I used to run, not sure if my knees could take it anymore but I'm with you that I need more cardio in my life. I was playing soccer with the yoot the other day and thought I was going to throw up after 20 minutes :aww:
 
I don't know my weight right now...last time I went to the doc it was 292.

I'm working on cracking my caffeine addition by cutting back on Pepsi. So far, headaches.

3 bottles @ 300 calories/day = 900 calories.

I'm down to one, but, I'm subbing for Koolaid, Pink Lemonade mixes - which still have a lot of sugar and aren't that much better in terms of calories....but, once I get used to having a single (or no) Pepsi, then I can tackle the sugar-free drink mixes.

Outside of that, not much in the exercise department, but I'm making a point to be more active. I'm so damn out of shape, I have no endurance. I have a postage stamp for a lawn, and I get out of breath by the time I'm done with half of it on an 85F day.

Drumming - I'm in great shape - I can play for hours, sweat my ass off doing it, and not even blink. Apparently, those muscles are just fine, but the lawn-mowing ones suck!


I plan on joining a gym once my finances settle a bit, and lifting and some cardio. Was doing good when I kicked Pepsi for about a month or two, and was hitting the gym a few years ago - I dropped 25lbs like nothing. Then I got sick, and made excuses not to go... :doh:

I think it's time for me to also get in shape, practice more, and just get my life going in a better place, and I'm going to kick it all off................tomorrow i guess. :lol: :LOL:

The scary part is when I met my wife I was 150...

Good luck man! :thumbsup: As for me, I'm working out and practicing guitar everyday, and I don't lose weight or get any better, but I'm trying :doh: ! I'm at 165 - but I got a lotta body fat I need to lose. I was at 210 when I was a 17 (yeah I was fat!) and dropped to 145 in about 4 months of working out/dieting. Lowest I ever been was 135 and I'm 5'10'' - but that was pretty unhealthy - I like to be 150-155.
 
Want to get rid of the weight?...simple:

Dump the carbs...dump the weight.

Now, keeping it off... :doh: :lol: :LOL:

Switched up the eating again and have been switching my routines around at the gym every 3 to 6 weeks.

Trying to get better at guitar too! Trying to get in practice whenever I can, usually 30 minutes in the AM, try to pull off another 30 at lunch and then get in at least an hour at home at night. Busy as hell!
 
Gainfreak, Good plan I hope you can keep it for a while !! I've started to go to gym 3 years ago, then quit after 2 months...

Now I registered to another one a few months ago and it's like a drug, very addictive !! Do lots of cardio, watch your alimentation (and beer counts.. it's the hardest part for me, with french fries at least) and keep pushing yourself.

For guitar playing well, don't stress it. I have days I don't wanna play (but I should) then after a week all my last 2-3 month progress is gone, I have to start again :doh:
