For me, I've found it's not about adkins, or zone diet, or any fad diet.
Just a few simple things:
1. Calculate your metabolic rate. Do a search online, and plug in your age, height, weight, and activity level, and it will tell you how many calories you burn per day. Do the math. If you're eating over that #, you gain. If you eat under that, and sustain it, you lose weight.
2. Skip soda, drink water.
3. Be really good during the week, treat yourself on weekends. Try to avoid big starchy side-dishes. Stick to the main course, make it count!
4. Get enough protein. It's hard to drop any weight eating all carbs, even if you're clocking in a low calorie count.
