Just curious what you guys know about Park amps? I know jim marshall set up the company for a friend because of the distribution deal he had in america and he wanted to help his friend out. Tonally are they identical to production marshall's of the same years? Any info would be great!

The name Park is Jim Marshalls wife's maiden name. The old Parks are pretty cool, pretty much a Marshall copy. I'm not sure the year but I'm thinking early 80's Park went solid state and started going downhill. Today a recent made Park wouldn't be much better than a MG series.

I'm not positive about the dates, if anyone knows better then say so.

I borrowed a friend's Park head back in the mid 80's and it was very similar to MKII Marshall Master Volume...if not the same animal.

That is what I thought, but there is not a lot of info about them as far as I can find. Looking at getting a 1980 50 watter. Drake transformers and Daly caps from what I can see in the pick. Hopefully she sings like a champ!

I saw one of those on ebay, it looked exactly like a marshall but with a silver faceplate, I bet it rocks as hard as any Marshall

a Friend of mine has one, It's like one of those "magical" Marshalls.....

AWESOME amps, I'd LOVE to have one some day.

I heard Hetfields got a couple in his stable. :)
