So what is the new Randall amp n the lineup that caters to the 80's rockers? I know Mike mentioned that no "group" was excluded in the new line up.

I can honestly say that any of the new amps will Cater to the 80's guys.

It's the playing style and not so much the amp that will dictate the vibe IMHO. I've played through Mikes NATAS amp and it still sounded 80's because of the way I play. Put Ola through the same amp and you get a different vibe.

All the best!!

The Diavlo will do that stuff all day. I was copping 80s tones with that amp all day yesterday. Was using a USA Nuno and it was killer.

Go back there and bring your video camera Jason!!!!!!

I will be at the booth for the next 5 days and the vids will be flowing. I'll get y'all one up today for sure.
NICE!!!! Cant wait. You make anything sound good but when you're this impressed by something I know it's going to be outstanding!!!!!!

I'm super excited to play this stuff when it comes out. I know something Randall is in my future. RD-5, RD-20/45 or Thrasher. Something for sure. Gonna start saving my pennies(yes, pennies. I'm poor LOL) now to be ready. The amp that Mike modded for me a couple of years ago just makes me fuckin smile ear to ear EVERY time I plug into it. This will be my first Randall purchase ever. I'll bet Randall will have quite a few "first timers" now with the new line. Great work Mike.

Exactly the same here ^^^ Really want to try and probably purchase the Thrasher or RD-45. Come on with the pricing and release already.

Nice!. Looking forward to trying that one out in real life sometime.

How can the thrasher be the natas if the satan is the natas?

Ola Englund said this,
"The differences between the Natas and Satan are a] Added Mid sweep control, an extra gain feel knob(adding more liquid gain) and some extra eq switches." "Not only that, the transformers and choke are different(which makes a HUGE difference), the grind knob is behaving different, etc... It's built around the same circuitry but the Satan is how is like the perfect amp for me. The Natas wasn't!"

The Randall Thrasher is the equivalent to the Natas. The Satan, if I'm understaning everything correctly, is yet to be unveiled.

My uneducated guess is we'll see the Satan debuted at Muskikmeese.

Satan is not the Natas. Has some different features and comes with different tubes as well.

This and What Jason Said :D

Are there any designs Mike did for Randall that were more not so high gain and classic in tone?

So is chan1 the lead with a boost switch and chan2 is the crunch? Or is one of them a clean chan?

I asked this too and a few others have as well. Essentially the answer remains that the Diavlo though heavy metal looking and "high gain" promoted, will be the amp that can go crunch to hard rock to hardly a need for a boost metal if you scoop it. Again, as was already mentioned, most players can make an amp sound like them through settings and picking hand style/attack.

What's up with that RG1503, not much news surrounding that...and hard to find too.

I asked Mike about the Thrasher a couple of weeks ago and according to him it is NOT the Natas. He said there are some similarities in the circuit but it is not the same amp design.

Man, I'm kinda stoked about Randall getting serious again. I cut my teeth on a RG80 when I was a wee little prick. Own a MTS Lynchbox now with some kickass modded modules. Looks like more Randalls coming to the stable!
