Portable boxed variacs for running a lower line voltage

Today I am using a small variac that is plugged in tom rack power conditioner with a display so I can set the voltage before turning on the amp. I like running my vintage amps at 115vac as I notice they seem to be a bit cleaner, less noisey, and more consistent day to day. The issue is now that I have biased them up assuming115vac, that I need to take the variac with me if I leave the house.

I saw a few portable variacs with displayed and wondered if anyone was using one or how hard they would be to build myself.

Wow, down to 90V, that is low. What amp are you using?

Do you have a picture? What are you using to monitor the voltage or is that included on the Staco variac?

-90v is "kinda" the industry standard,.. well according to EVH & RHODES, ....

-2203KK-

-of course everything else drops with it -(bias)- which I adjust for,

-there's a meter on my STACO variac-

-I have yet to master posting pics here, I don't do photo bucket, but if ya message me i'll send ya some pics-
