Seriously? Starting your post with "the gossip channels" and then belittling his religion is fine form when a person dies. Hope this opportunity to grind your axe vs said faith has made you feel better for the day.
R.I.P. Prince and condolences to your loved ones left behind.

Apparently, he had one last weekend and they reported it as flu like symptoms.
Sad
I'm hearing Narcan was used in an Illinois hospital. That's typically used to kick start the respiratory system, if someone is bottoming out with their B/P or respirations. He has needed bilateral hip replacement surgery since 2005, but has refused to have it because of his beliefs as a Jehovah's Witness. They refuse any blood products so no surgery possible. So my bet is he has been taking pain meds to control his hip pain, and that caused/contributed to his death.ElectricVoodoo":1gufydz1 said:An overdose seems as the possibility. All will come out sooner or later in the results. Either way, its a very sad day.
From people who attended his last concert a week or so ago, he told them at one point in the show that they shouldn't waste their prayers just yet on him and that they should wait a few days to do so. Kind of odd.

As a J.W. the only medical treatments that we would refuse are blood transfusions or treatments involving the 4 major components of blood. This stance has been partly responsible for the advancements in bloodless surgery that have helped avoid complications from blood transfusions that used to be required for many surgeries. We are very pro medical treatment and consider it a lack of respect for life to refuse medical treatment that does not violate God's law on blood (Acts 15:20,29). A good friend of mine who is also a J.W. is a published M.D. who developed the testing done on heart transplant patients to ensure that the heart and recipient match. This has allowed heart transplants to last 10 years or longer instead of the 2 years previously due to his advancements in the field. He travels the world to provide training to heart surgeons on his techniques.
