I guess we are all " clueless" then except for the purple nut huggers in this thread! Is he at the same level as Page where composition is concerned? Not a chance but he is Prince and can be enjoyed for what he is.

People want to act like he's continuing some sort of Hendrix legacy or something. It's not remotely true. He's not in the same universe as Hendrix. IMO.
Like I said, I enjoy some of his stuff. It's catchy, funky.

What amp was Prince using on the song Purple Rain? I am guessing he was using a Boss CE1 or CE2 chours, or possibly even a Boss BF2 flanger.
