I got a set of Dragon II's in a American strat. They do pretty much everything. Chugga to great cleans. Anybody know what magnets are in those?

Yep, I once had a PRS Dirty 100 with the 59/09s and it sounded REALLY good. Well-balanced, but also really focused and tight (withouth sounding "thin")! Of course some of that will just have been the guitar itself, but the pickups translated it very well. I ended up selling the guitar for other reasons, but I kind of miss those pickups...

I have no ideal... I have been told Paul never specifies exactly which magnet is in his pickups... which I noticed, when looking for info on them, it only says alnico or ceramic... never tells you of it is alnico 2 or anything like that.

Got 59/09's in my Wood Library Tremonti and they absolutely rock through a VH4.
