Well I have a super insane mk 1 that sounds as good all my other amps . I’m not sure why it’s so special but it makes me ok with parting with it . But I really love all 3 diezels I have .

I prefer the Herbert MKiii vastly over the VH4. It’s more metal voiced and just sounds right to my ears.

I like the VH4 a lot, its a really distinctive sound and works for a ton of people

But for me personally I just think the herbert is voiced in a way that's easier to adapt to multiple guitars - the VH4 i think only really sounds good with gibson style guitars, especially the third channel. It seems to benefit from the extra low mid warmth a lot.
