Real Talk: Is it worth posting in classifieds here or just post up on Reverb?

Local music store consignment works best for me for high end items.

I check classifieds almost every day here. I think on here people or at least for me, will go for good deals, no taxes no fees, etc… and if it’s something they want. Need that combo and I think it can move quickly, but it’s a buyers market for sure.

You should post it everywhere, on Rigtalk, Marketplace, Reverb, etc.
Look to Reverb for sold listings, price accordingly and you just may sell your shit.
Ask greedy retard prices like $17k for a DRG C+ and it’s gonna sit forever.
...and it's gone, like the ad said the price along with "best offer" "motivated seller." Point is that I think that the benefits of here vs Reverb is that here lots of people know each other and doing a trade or partial trade is entirely easier which is what I did with my amp. Due to the slowed down second hand market I think trades can be the way to go but I wouldn't want to do that via Reverb with no references.

Also as someone pointed out earlier most of the people shit talking ads are people who don't even have the money to buy the gear in the first place. If a piece of gear showed up and it was rare but in my opinion the price was high I would send the dude a message, explain why and then make them an offer. If I couldn't even afford it in the first place I'd just keep browsing, not bitching about it.

Think about it... I wish I had the time to seethe about, make comments in other threads... weeks later mind you... about an amp I saw here in the classifieds and let it bother me. I got too many other things going on in the real world both good and bad to be that bothered by a single listing of a piece of gear with a price I may not agree with.

Don't tell anybody, but if I see something on reverb I'm interested in, I will check to see if it's also listed here and TGP for obvious reasons.

Oh I’m not seething about it, but apparently you are, because here YOU are posting about it weeks later.

And as far as not being able to afford your rare and precious gear, I’ve sold a Rev C Recto and an OG C++ in the past year, and I didn’t buy nor sell them at your ridiculous asking prices.

It’s worth it if it sells…lol. It’s so hit and miss. I dropped a USA prs to 1k and didn’t get a sniff.. 🤧 I was shocked.

I wouldn't trust anyone with Paypal FF here sorry. No buyer protection too. Just sayin' yo
