I'm going to have a conversion neck made for this guitar. Stick with ebony fretboard or all maple?
What say you?

I love Warmoth Ebony boards .............. looks wise I don't think you'll go wrong either way
Thanks Wayne. I'm starting lean ebony again. I think it matches the body more. I also think I'll bag the roasted option so it complements the natural biding of the body better.

Now I'm leaning Musikraft. They have a pro-mod neck shape option that seems like it is closest to the Gibson 60s slim-taper which is my all time favorite.
Damn, I hate this rabbit hole.

I just bought my first Musikraft neck after 30 years of buying form Warmoth.

I hate to say it but the Musikraft was nicer and less expensive.

I'll never go anywhere but Musikraft. The two necks they've made for me are so awesome and never need anything. However .... their lead times are ridiculous.

It's actually $51 more than Warmoth. :dunno:

The lead times do seem pretty bad, but I'm not in a hurry. I've also read the fretwork is much better and may not need any additional work. Is that your experience?

I don't think you could go wrong with ebony or maple, both would look good. My personal preference would be ebony.
