Decent tones, but more wash, rinse, repeat stoner. I was hoping a killer vocal would kick in to elevate it but typical, let's make the voice spacy because the guy has no personality or rock in his voice to carry it on it's own. I will definitely check out what else that label has on their roster though as these guys weren't terrible, just too typical.

got it. I just turned it up REALLY fucking loud and surrendered to the vibrations. It was a quasi religious moment of fuzz doom. T

I get that. I find with Stoner bands they establish a cool, big fat sonic riff but always play it well beyond it's expiration date and it loses it's impact. A band I like a lot that rocks out with the stoner vibe is Unida. It doesn't hurt that Garcia is the vocalist but they tend to keep it catchier and give it more energy but still be fat and heavy too. Keep posting links / vids of stuff you find though, as I'm hungry for new bands and you never know who'll be a winner.

I found this killer record label (Riding Easy) that has awesome bands.
But THIS band....
MONOLORD.

Fucking KILLING IT!

That's some killer doom. These bands are very cool live. Get nice and baked and they'll take you on a trance-like trip. Their tonez just envelop you in a thick, warm blanket of glorious distortion. Rez, have you heard Windhand? Killer female fronted doom band.

I saw Windhand last year and they were KILLER. Never heard Slabdragger, I'll check it out. They've gotta be cool with a name like that.

I've got a band in the other half of my studio thats going after this sound. It's funny/awesome how they've got their amps set up. Both guitarist ran 2 amps while recording.

It sounds flipping awesome recorded and even live.. but I find it hallirously awesome that these guys have monster amplifiers and run clean channels with fuzz's ... and a Sunn Beta lead !! I would of said no way... but damn it sounds phat !
