It seems to be a bit calm here and I do not like to dig out old threats

, but well - after a surprising NAD I am looking for Bad Cat owners.
I got a 2013 Hot Cat 30 a week ago - it took me by surprise while visiting my dealer in Hamburg. When I looked around a Bad Cat jumped right in my eyes... It was the third BC I have seen naturally (these are really rare in good ol´Central Europe) - the first one was the Lynx from Steven Wilson / PT (I was standing right in the front of a small stage directly in the beam of it and it blew me away...)
The second was a used one in mint condition but I did not have the money but now my dealer is starting to sell Bad Cat officially.
So I had the chance to check 3 BC within one afternoon (HC15, HC 30 and Cub III) and I decided to take the 30.
To make a long story short - first of all this tiny little piece of soundmonster is extremly loud!!!! But of course the best part of it is the cultivated tone which could be found easily if you take a some time to work with the EQ, Cut and Level. I never a had an amp with such an effective EQ! (Even Mesa and Diezel won`t reach this) The Cut (which seems to be something different than Presence but with a roughly sound-alike function) is able to influence the sound from dull via "fluffy" up to extremly edgy. I like it most between 12 - 2 o`clock and it really changes the sound remarkable in this small range. So the Lead Channel is simply great and Gain at 2 o´clock with kranked-up Level offers enough big balls to get a great High Gain Sound. The Clean Sound is the best or at least one of the best I have ever heard.
Searching for information in the Inet I found the statement that the amp is usable for all directions except Hi-Gain-Metal-Orgys. I do not agree!!! I play a Majesty 7 which works with lean and defined lows. Avoiding too much Gain and lowering the Bass a bit is working great for High Gain as well! I am playing the BC with a 4x12 Friedmann in the rehearsel room and via a Mesa Cab Clone at home.
Ok, I stop now but I am still really enthusiastic and excited...
