RIP Wayne, one of the earliest pioneers of the modded guitar world, I first met him in the mid '70s who worked on my Strats (combining Fender & Gibson)
I have family in Lake Arrowhead so Redlands was just down the mountain. I also knew Grover when he bought the company in '79 I believe, great builder.
That's an Amazing piece of history, I don't think I've ever seen the earliest Neck Plate since then, I actually forgot what it looked like "Awesome".
I've had Charvel's since '75 in one form or another and still love the 1-11/16 width, 12-16 radius, quarter-sewn, and wider neck & body pocket.
