Man every time I see Fuel it cracks me up... they were the Saturday night house band at a bar we used to go to in Harrisburg for quite a while before they broke nationally

Sorry, I'm not digging it. :scared:

But, that's just my opinion.
I did see the singer was using a Road King.

I didn't realize Fuel was still around at all, wow.

Well, they are calling themselves Refueled and they're only playing stuff off of the first two albums I believe.

Fuel is still around, but they have a different lead singer. I think they're kind of on hiatus.

The Road King is getting buried by that 800 on "Empty Spaces". ;)

I like the tone Yogi has going though. It's real clear, clean, thick and pissed off sounding at the same time. He isn't hiding behind massive amounts of preamp saturation.

This is an old clip. The singer in these vids (Brett Scallions) is now the singer for the Doors.
Fuel got some new guy and their careers tanked shortly after.

They usually have good tones live. Carl Bell usually plays through H&K Triamps with lots-o-rack gear. Their tone on the "Something Like Human" album is really good.

No, this clip was from 9-25-09. This is "Refueled", which is Brett and Jeff from Fuel. Yogi Lonich, the other guitarist, played opposite of Pete Thorn with Chris Cornell and he played with the Wallflowers and Buckcherry as well. The drummer is the ex-Candiria drummer, Ken Schalk.

WTF?
Did Carl decide to call it quits? Weird. I heard they kicked out Brett, or at least pissed him off enough for him to leave. Then they get new guy and their shit with him totally blows compared to the old lineup. Now Brett is doing it without Carl? Hmmm.

I think its cool that Brett is singin fuel songs again, but it doesn't sound right without Carl Bell doing his geetar thang.

I don't think Carl has called it quits or anything. Carl pissed off the rest of the current Fuel lineup because he wouldn't pay them their royalties off of the last album. I think they finally got that resolved, but they're not really doing anything.

Anyway, Jeff Abercrombie, the bassist, always maintained his friendship with Brett. They both weren't doing anything, so they decided to recruit Yogi and Ken. They're calling this Refueled. They just wanted to go out and have fun playing those older songs.

So.... Fuel is still alive, but isn't really doing anything at the moment. I've always liked Toryn's vocals. He was in Something To Burn before he joined Fuel and he was singing for Apocalyptica. Carl definitely IS Fuel, but Brett will always be the voice of it.
