RT Team...Whets the consensus around here for solid quality Instrument, speaker and pedal patch cables? About to buy a complete set for my dual amp Marshall rig and a couple pedals. Thanks!!!!

Whirlwind
I have some 15 footers still in use that I purchased back in 92'
Around the house use only, but they are still as pliable and noise free as when I first got them...
Patch cables are awesome too.
Re-cabled my rack with all whirlwind and I was getting low end I thought I never had. (Was using HOSA stuff)
Livewire/GC ones are cool too. The warranty is great and no worries if you wreck one at a gig or something.

Anybody ever try those Klotz cables?
Pricey, but they seem like the cats meow with reviews... *Shrug*

I never really have worried about cables because that is another rabbit hole I haven't bothered traveling down. I just use whatever works.

Biggest POS cables I have ever owned. Absolute crap. Like tossing a blanket over your speakers. And short lived too, even with gentle treatment. It's actually unreal how bad they are for as much money as they command.
That's what I have been told as well

I have a set of four 20ft Ernie Ball flex cables (right angle on one end) that I've used heavily for almost a decade now. There have been no failures. I am fairly careful about strain relief though. Prior to that I had numerous cables from Monster and Fender die. Mogami cables did better but died eventually.

I have a couple old George L cables that have been 100% reliable (and can be trivially repaired with a pocket knife on the road) but the stiff jackets on them can be really annoying.

For my wireless pack I use custom cables from Best-Tronics.

My concern is nearly 100% mechanical reliability - yes cables have capacitance but no reasonable cable stock at a reasonable length should have the roll-off at a frequency low enough to care.

Mogami instrument cables, ProCo StageMaster speaker cables, and DiMarzio patch cables. I also have many Roland black series dual TS cables of various lengths for stereo connections.

Recently I tried AA Audio Accessory instrument cables from Amazon. I got a 15' cable, and it was good enough to get a second. Much less expensive than Mogami.

I also had good luck with cables from Monoprice

Which cable will toss Dasani on my speakers?

I DIY'd my speaker cables from Audio 2000's cable and Neutrik chuck-type connectors, and I'm very happy with them.

I've had pretty good luck with ProCo stuff. The cables are noise free and not tone suckers IME and reasonably priced. I used to have a ProCo snake back in the days of mixer/power amp/unpowered speakers. It was a decent unit. I should've hung onto it. I can't believe what they want for snakes now.

I gotta golden Dimarzio cable now, it's a good cable, seems a bit brighter than other cables I have but it's held up pretty good since last Christmas.
