RT Consensus - Reasonably Priced - Good Quality Cables?

Biggest POS cables I have ever owned. Absolute crap. Like tossing a blanket over your speakers. And short lived too, even with gentle treatment. It's actually unreal how bad they are for as much money as they command.
To be fair, Monster speaker cables are decent. Heavy copper and beefy jacks. That being said, it's kinda hard to screw up a speaker cable. I got a few on sale that were reasonably priced and have used them for years. I'd never use their instrument cable though.

This topic interests me, as I soon might have an opportunity to get some stuff brough to me in the luggage. Maybe even a pedal. So I need a 3 foot and a nice 10 foot instrument cable for everyday practice. What and where do I buy? Mogami?

I have 1 fancy instrument and speaker cable set from Vovox from back in the day, but want someting nice for daily use/practice too, as the cheap Ibanez I have is rather unreliable and looses sound in some positions.

Please elaborate on the topic.

Decent soundwise, meaning they do not have the blanket over speakers effect the guitar cables had. Unfortunately I bought a speaker cable with all those guitar cables and even after treating it with total kid gloves it was the first of them to fail. I plugged in at a gig one night and nothing. Glad I was quick to check it otherwise it could've really damaged something. I even had a nice thick gold plated jacked RCA cable that failed to work correctly. No more Monster for me.

Yeah but they make a pretty good energy drink at least.

Those beefy plugs have fucked up thousands of jacks over the years.

I like Mogami.

Sommer Cable "the Spirit".
Lowest capacity as far as i know.
you can always add capacity, but you cannot remove it.
