Running through the gain options on the 1959 Modified vs Cranked Stock Plexi settings

117 is my record. And i find 107-112 with 115 spikes to be ideal

Sounds awesome, but I like my stock Plexis more. One of them is really clean, so I just use an OCD or SD-1 out front once in a while. Another has a little too much gain, so I put a 12AT7 in V1. Friedmans sound amazing too when watching YT videos or playing at home, but they always sound too dark when I use them with a band.

Perhaps Mrs. Lee would more appreciate the MV option off this amplifier. Hmmmm?

I’m right there with ya, and I know damn well this it’s without question taking it’s toll on my upper frequency hearing.
It’s an addictive drug that’s hard to shake, man…

Yeah. I just play where the amp's sweet spot is. I don't really micromanage it

Same here man, the amp and speakers have a sweet spot where they bloom and roar that I crave, especially when not playing in a band.
I tried explaining this to my ears but they didn’t hear me…

I never had an issue using the BE in a band. And it’s alway been in a two guitar band.
