Not to ruin your day, but I had rotator cuff surgery last Feb 2014. Most fucking painful thing I've ever went through. Made my double hernia surgery seem like a massage by six nineteen year old virgin nuns. Mine was the worst my surgeon had seen, so he claims, and he's the guy that other surgeons send people to when they think it's to bad to operate on. A year later, and it's still painful. He said it'd be a two year recovery, though.

I doubt I would opt for surgery especially if it's that bad and I've heard bad things about that procedure. Bummer. Get well dude!
