RUSH to Return for 2026 North American Tour

None at all. In fact I'm surprised and a bit disappointed it took them this long.

I love the fact that two musicians/friends, who started Rush, created a behemoth, stepped away to morn their friend/partner now get to do what they were born to do - play the music they created.

And on the flip side, I love the fact that this is pissing some people off because it's not how they perceive or "project" things should be, all the while Alex and Ged will be selling out, every single night. And thousands will walk out of the arena with smiles on their faces.

I suspect this is one of those things that dragged out a bit longer with things around covid too, so without that maybe it'd have been a year or two earlier. Still, they had to mourn Peart and heal enough from that to move on.

The fact that people are pissed about it is puzzling. Rush has always conducted themselves with class, so I'm not sure why anyone would care if they go back out and have some fun with their fans. Like I said above, I doubt I'll go. I've seen them over two dozen times over the years and that's probably sufficient for me - unless they add dates and end up in town - but if they and others have a good time, it doesn't negatively impact me in any way.

The German gal has the essence. Jeff Beck heard it. She makes it okay for Al and Ged to feel good and return.

This is a miracle. We can be grateful for it and maybe expect similar miracles in our own lives.

Don’t hate on this.
I agree with you and think it is a good thing.

I remember when Soundgarden did some shows a year or two ago with a female singer. Maybe Geddy and Alex did a similar thing. Get someone relatively unknown to the casual fan who is a German female, but still an incredible musician. It doesn't feel like a replacement like some bands have done (KISS, Motley Crue, etc).

I remember when RaceU4her saw the Pantera reunion and immediately was out and I totally understand that. I saw KISS eith and without original members and is different. This Rush thing to me feels authentic and just from a place of friendship and those two getting to get out and celebrate their music. I mean it's been over 10 years. They have to miss it.

So, I'm seeing ticket prices in the presale in the hundreds up to a thousand dollars. Is that typical now for a concert? I guess I haven't been to a concert for a number of years at this point. I love Rush and I'd consider going if they rolled through here but probably not at those rates. If they're selling out, more power to 'em.
