In the last week I seen multiple items listed with no pictures and poor excuses. Brad needs to have someone monitor this and just blow the threads away, I'm tired of seeing this shit! Some of the people are longtime members with hundreds and thousands of post and still can't seem to understand the rules.

The Classifieds went to shit since the Moderators got fired....nobody to keep the mess cleaned up.

Most of us who bought and sold a lot though, would only buy and even only sell to certain folks. I wouldn't buy an amp from someone I didn't know on here. I have chosen not to sell to a few as well. if I thought the amp or mod was too much for them.

My beef though....receiving an amp obviously packed by an idiot. If the packing job is an indicator of how the owner cared for an amp or respected the buyer.

I shut a guy down once on a very expensive amp that I was selling because he was asking a million questions and was obviously super nervous about buying the amp. After probably a 5 or 6 pm exchange it became apparent that it was better for me to just tell him to move on. Those types of folks tend to have a bit of drama surrounding them so in our pm discussion I said I think it is best if he find another amp. EVen though I really wanted to sell it the vibe was headed for drama I could tell.

Totally agree with Steve and Jason here. Those that ask a million questions (I'm fine with a few) typically come with a lot of baggage. In some cases they get buyers remorse after the fact too. Take the time to do research in advance of the purchase. Gear (IMO) should not be an impulse buy. Take the time to learn and know what you want before putting undo pressure on the seller. I know it goes both ways but a smart buyer can sidestep a lot of heartache, time and money if they do their homework in advance.

Here's one from today:

As stated in my ad I have an issue with my photobucket account and am currently unable to host a picture. If anyone can help then great if not then I will remove the listing but I am trying to rectify my photobucket issue.

Presentation is key.

Use a wet rag to wipe the dust from the item.

Turn on the lights when taking a picture......and many more.
And keep your ugly bare feet out of the pics!!! ;)

YES!!! Finally someone said it. I fucking hate nasty hairy ape toes in the background.

Exactly.... There are dozen's of online photo hosting companies, if photobucket is screwed up either upload them somewhere else or wait until you get it figured out.

Much of the nonsense, IMHO, has to due to age related "premature e-cash-ulation". You know, either you're jacked up - wanna sell, gotta sell, post to sell - and pictures take "patience" and "diligence". Fuck, you think most of the iYouth today have either of those? Hell no, it's all about "instant gratification". So ya, finding the folder of the photos on one's already cluttered computer requires "work". And work is simply too much to expect from someone with a bit of slobber hanging outta their mouth, iPhone welded to their hand, Facebooking on the shitter, texting instead of talking, and jonesing when there isn't any wifi availalbe. It's a culture. It's also a disease.

Bad packing? No surprise. Cash is usually already in hand by the time the tape gun needs to be utilized. And god forbid man, if finding a picture of said item on one's computer is to laborious, imagine packing? Or this thing called "foresight"? Impossible. Won't happen.

Not being a downer, just a realist.

Just sayin'...

Nail on head.

Wow that would have sucked buying that sight unseen. :scared:

I agree. I recently sold an ISP Decimator 30% more than the 2 other ads were asking for on a local forum. Just because of a nice ad, with pictures, with correct and polite terms. Not one of those "take my shit" threads which look like written by a 10 yo (major turn off for me).

Taking a few good pictures literally takes 10 minutes tops per item, writing a good ad not much longer. Common sense IMHO.

Even better, linking the ad to another forum because person is too lazy to do a poper listing here...I call BS on that!

That. Said something to someone to let him know they'd nuke his ad, and he replied by saying there are pics on the other forum's ad.

Why try to sell something with a link you have to join another forum to see?
