The splawn mids sound fine in a band mix imo but the amp by itself could maybe sound wierd to some people when playing with themself. Certain speakers dont sound great with them either but if you use the speakers scott recommends it will matchup better.
Some love splawns, some hate them, as long as everybody is happy and finds a amp that fits them thats all that matters. Theres plenty of amps people love that i cant stand but the people that own them are happy with them.
I promise that splawn might not agree with everyone but no amp brand ever will, theres some fantastic amp makers on RT and theres people that love them but theres also people that dont. Im glad we have all these choices to choose from.
