30+ years of accumulated guitars, amps, pedals, getting ready to be picked up by the estate auction people to be auctioned off. Keeping one guitar, one cab, Fractal FM3, and Fryette PS100 for the power amp. Probably hang on to the Mesa Mk V for now too, gotta have at least one "real" amp. Everything else is heading out. Synthesizers and camera gear will be going next. So sad to be saying goodbye to all this gear I've enjoyed so much over the years, but I don't have the strength to manage it all and don't want to leave it to my family to deal with when I'm gone, they won't have a clue what this stuff is.

It is a feeling all musicians have had once or twice but please don't send it to an estate auction. Find a local store and put it on consignment at the very minimum..you will come out ahead and so will they.

Even if you have something worth $1000 used, and you list it for only $600 here, you are getting way more. If you don't want to ship I get it but still list it all, there are local guys who will meet up...

yep 100%

even if you get lowballed for some of it, i guarantee youll end up better off in the end selling it online rather than an estate sale

Man are you okay? What’s up? You need help bro? Plenty of knuckle draggers on here would help you out. Myself included. We can’t do anything if we don’t know what is happening. But we don’t want to be intrusive either. You need anything hit me up.🤙

Its happeneing alot this year. 1/3rd the ads selling gear the guys don't want trades cuz they have medical problems or hanging it up in general.

Thanks man. Stage 4 colon cancer (get yer colonoscopies, they suck but not nearly as bad as the alternative). The money isn't as much of a concern as making things easy, I just don't have the strength to list everything, ship, etc. Simply getting things ready to be picked up is exhausting.

This post was more about the feeling of letting everything go, not looking for any help. I never married or anything, outside of work I just had guitar along with some other hobbies, so it hits hard.

Hey man, so sorry to hear about the big C. I have a friend who had same, stage 4 colon cancer, and was treated and is now in remission—doing well. Just prayed for you that things take a turn for the better and for your healing. God bless you.

Sorry you're going through it, man. Where are you located? I know you're not looking for help, but I'm sure there are some members here that would lend a hand or jam with you.
