You have no real idea how or why he conducted his own business. You were not in the conversation.

Who says that renewable energy is worthy? That position at the moment, is a waste of money. All the windmills and solar farms in the world will never be enough energy to meet the needs of a growing economy. In my small home I use 536 kwh per month. I would need a whole solar farm just for my house.
You and I will disagree on all these things. I'm old enough to remember the news from when these things actually went down. And yes I know exactly why he did those things. It's because he's a cheap blowhard POS. Lol. I remember when he decided on his Tower that he was not going to use the insulated double pane wind proof windows on his hotel and condos that the architect and engineer specified and went with weak single pane windows to save money. Then people sued because their multi million dollar penthouses were filled with the sound of rattling windows any time the wind was over 10 mph. 🤣

That's because BP medication slows oxygen to your brain while lowering your heart rate.

Find a better way to lower your BP.

Try staying away from Nitrites, Nitrates, MSG, yeast extract and any salt that is not pink Himalayan or mineral salts. Remove all seed oils from your diet. No fries, chips or tortillas. No fast food, McDonalds, Wendy's... Don't eat anything after dinner and get plenty of sleep.

Problem solved.

......and, buy yourself a new handtruck for Christmas.
Something that works even better than anything posted here ,your suggestions are great btw! Carnivore diet and pottasium. I lack a digestive enzyme or something to that effect and take stool softners/laxative every day or no go, gross yes but knowledge is power and made my pottasium very low and blood pressure very high. Diet change and started using no salt, salt substitute in my water bottle and my bp dropped like a stone. I am not using the no salt/pottasium on my food, still put alot of regular salt on my food and no problems!!

Also real butter/ kerrygold salted works wonders as well.

Sorry to break it to you but those earning numbers aren’t actually great. Throw in either no or terrible health coverage, no ability to save for retirement, child care costs. How many hours are the dishwashers and servers getting in a week? They need a 2nd or even sometimes a 3rd job. It’s not sustainable in the U.S. especially if those figure are related to a higher population city. Shit, jobs that require education and skills/experience that pay less than $20 an hour are all over the Atlanta area. Also jobs that are labor intensive.
How about the fact that in my town to be able to afford rent and the cost of living you have to make $71,000 a year.

When I was growing up this area was place where average people could come to retire comfortably. Now our fastest growing segment of homeless people are those same retirees.

Also, the how and why of it do nothing to change the shadyness and graft of it. Business purposes do not make it right or moral.

You have no idea the circumstances. Maybe he is an asshole, maybe not, I just don't care.

That has nothing to do with the oblivious people that have no idea who is responsible for their low paying jobs.

That note just screams mismanagement. A "big commercial building" for 10 amps a month (except he can't get that many orders)? With PCBs that's a 1-2 man shop that could and should live in a 2-bay garage if you like money.

The website where people might go to order his amps also appears to have bogus stock products from the shopping cart software install. That's the sort of thing that really gets the orders flowing...

Business is Darwinian and not every business is the fittest.

I wonder how splawn and bogner are doing it, they don't strike me as big volume operations like friedman and the other bad brands.

I’m inclined to agree. Seems like for a PCB amp this could be a pretty small operation/should be to keep it profitable. Knowing other small builders who are handwiring, putting more out the door, and doing it with one or two people, it can be done, even if it’s just breaking even.

I can see the repair/mod business being a better business model.
I know a few guitar gear people that transitioned from manufacturing to modding: one amp guy, two pedal guys, and a luthier. All of them eventually left the modding world behind because of having to deal with mega Karens and armchair experts.

Weird detours aside, boutique amp building must be tough with changing tastes and fads. And ultimately they are luxury items that are hit hard when finances are tight. I never owned a Metropoulos, but I appreciated his contributions to the community. Best wishes to George.

Saying I disagree with you on your premise does not equate with economic ignorance.

It is just obvious that Trump intends to run our government the way he ran his businesses, with bluster and bullshit catering to the uber wealthy.

10 amps was the minimum.
