You mentioned Zinky in the other thread as well regarding the V- Boutique cab. Who/what is Zinky? I have the V Cube 2x12 on order.
Bruce Zinky, made the Tonemaster and Prosonic among others at Fender. Amp tech to the stars. Keef plays his speakers and boost as do I. He had V-Boutique make his cabs back when this was made, like '06. Lotta other makers like Bogner and Friedman used them too.

I love how 2x12s sound but they are too heavy for me to haul to gigs. I might get an Orange V212 down the road and that would be fine but others are boat anchors.

The Orange 2x12 is huge dude! Much deeper than many 2x12s, even my Recto 2x12 is smaller than it.

These are my cabs, they're the only ones I own. Look at the difference in size between the Recto 2x12 and the Orange 2x12. It's deeper too.

I can't help but to tinker with gear so I found some real cheap, but very well built, Seismic ported 2 X 12" cabs and loaded them both with Vintage 30's (16 Ohm). They bark and growl and being teamed up with the Synergy rig, they transition from live to studio in a heartbeat. They are far easier to move around as well (of course).

Tonestar 212 ported Thiele cab. Eminence EM 12's
No pic handy - But I also have the Tonestar Ported Thiele 2x12 with a Marshall Branded V-30 and a Creamback M65. Best sounding cab I own. Hands down. Until you have stood in the room with a Thiele Ported 2x12, its had to convey adequately.

Contravening the 'show' but all my 2x12's are closed back: Budda (Heritage G12H30 75hz), EVH (G12-EVH) and Hughes & Kettner (V30).

The EVH is what I use most although the Budda has an amazing spread to the sound that I can't tell if it's the speakers or the cab. I didn't want to remove the heritage speakers and wanted a matching cab for the head. I might grab a second Budda one day unless anyone has recommendations for something similar or better?

Original V30’s - an extra jacks been added in the back so I’ve got the option to run it in stereo. Plug into any one jack and you get both speakers at 8ohms, plug in 2 cables and you get each jack pointing to the 16ohm speaker on the same side of the jack.
Might eventually swap out 1 of the v30’s with the Scumback M75 LD that’s sitting on the cab

How did you wire that to switch between parallel 8 ohm mono, and stereo series 16 ohm/side operation without a switch or 3rd jack?

You’d think I had a thing for 2x12’s but 3 of them were deal-sealers when buying a head. The top left is a Line 6 Flextone cab with WGS speakers, the unbranded one on the right is an old Mesa w/ Black Shadows. White Marshall is a Sour Mash cab with an Anniversary and V30, pairs GREAT with that EVH 2x12.

The EVH is definitely my favorite, it does all the modern metal stuff fine and while it’s a bit scooped in the mids in comparison to the other cabs, handles all the classic rock tones I go for when I’m not chugging on shit. The Mesa blew my fucking mind at the same time it blew my ear drums. The original owner removed the back and I had it in the corner of a bedroom when I cranked it for the first time, I was powering it with a solid state Peavey XXL and using my AxeFX with it, my buddy had his Peavey XXX halfstack and that Mesa swallowed it whole as well as the small PA system the electronic drums were coming through, it was so fucking loud I couldn’t turn it down because I was laughing so hard for 15-20 seconds.
That white Marshall head and cabs is one of the most beautiful rigs ever.
