i'm sure i'll be the only one to say this, but i don't like at OD at all. sounds all dry and lifeless.

:dunno:

Party pooper!!!! :gethim:

Seriously it's all relative anyway and your opinion is worth expressing. I've had a Deliverance and it wasnt dry and lifeless at all. Also given that George plays Wizards that arent dry and lifeless and he likes them Im not to worried about but you never know.

I can't say either of the clips really blown my doors off. But having played it I know this is a matter of it not being dialed in a way that I want to hear.

Anybody know if he was using a VHT cab with P50's?
Yes...Deliverence 4-12 I think....he has FB, D and D2-12 cabs though....

OK, cool, thanks George. I'm not blown away with how it sounds, but it's impossible to really know how you like an amp until you play it, or at least hear it in the room. That said, I liked your clip a lot. It was a lot more my style and seamed a lot smoother.

If you look at his HC post, there is a pic with some mics aimed at the cab, the grill is off though. There is alot going on with the amp as far as things to adjust, I didnt even touch the eq knobs. I know with some time to get used to it, there are some killer tones in it. I wish I could have used something other than a reg 1960 75 loaded cab, but its not bad really.

I like that clip. Hum, it sounds like a D412 cab. Very tight.

wow, that's one tone machine.

some clean sounds were pretty sweet on this clip, but guess i was hoping for a little more Marshall vibe on the riffs?

damn sure some awesome riffs from Deathmonkey!

i'm with eddie d.

i'm feeling too much pickup output or something...the amp sounded way more attractive at NAMM

something overloaded, kinda like i felt about the d120 versus the much more manageable d60.

Sounded great. I could be nit picky but I'm sure it sounds significantly better in the room and it sure does appear to have a lot of tweaking options. What are these being sold for?

I thought it sounded pretty damn good, nice gain clips. Cleans and low gain were okay, I didn't hear enough to make a call. Seems promising....

I guess I'm just not a VHT guy. I've yet to hear one that I liked :scared:

Wow! ver-si-tile...

Not that I have any use for the cleans, but I really like all of it. Makes me seriously question my need for stereo output. With a head like that, who needs stereo?

I'm a big VHT fan but I have to say I didn't like the clip one bit. Probably because that style of playing/tone isn't my cup of te(ebes)a at all. I can't remember liking any of Deathmonkeys clips for that matter.

I'm with the ones who're more interrested in the mediumgain tones.

It indeed sounds like something is clipping in a nasty way.

Btw: I think the cab used was a Carvin ?

I'll just have to wait another few days; I'm expecting mine soon.

Giga.

The clip shows just how versatile this amp is!
I don't love the tone, but I'm very certain I could tweak it nice and juicy for my liking!
Plus, maybe some Chinese 12AX7's in there would be in my recipe... Plus my fingers...
I think the amp will be a smoke'n success!!!

Keith

Cool demo.
+1. Sounds like a killer amp. I would like to hear how this amp handles more low-mid gain stuff, sorta ACDC ish types of sounds.
The clean channel with the boost - I was getting classic AC/DC, classic Who, Thin Lizzy type tones.
