huh?

The Slash record IMO was one of the best of 2010 and this track sounds good to me.

I love the whole thing too. I like the song with Fergie the best on that album.

I think i like shitty music because i thought this song was good, i have no issues with it at all, but then again i like shitty songs anyway. i also dont know how to play very good and thats why i have no issues with the solo.

Noway it will keep up with it, its not even close.

I think it fits the song. Zakk would have played the same thing just faster and more repetitve so it would sound like it is more than it is. Slash has never fallen to far from his roots which is cool. Snakepit is his best playing IMO . It`s just a song anyway but I personally have had enough of Ozzy. Rock on

Dave are you same pyschodave that was on the lespaul forum 6-10years ago during the rich mod era?

I agree.It's rock and roll.

Not that i'm a critic but the solo lacks in gain so it sounds a little strange, and it doesn't help being 96KB on youtube.
But i thought it sounded ok,sounded like Slash.

Did he do anything on the latest record with Lemmy? Did you know Slash had a Motorhead tribute band before GNR.

That song sounded, well...just kinda meh. Nothing too great happening there. I'm getting sick of Ozzy too, so that doesn't help. Slash's solo was about what I would expect from an average song like that. Not a lot of great chord changes or anything to do anything really exciting lead-wise.

BTW, another killer Slash moment for me is that solo in "The Garden". That lead just rips! I always compare soulful rock lead playing to that one, as well as the Sweet Child lead. And "Estranged" has some pretty epic shit going on too. The difference in those songs and the one Dave just posted here, is that you can hear how hungry they were to create. Now it's more like just jamming to have fun and not to make a statement. That's the difference between good music and great music.

+1 amen brother...

Record of the year and almost every track is great. Slash has nothing to prove and plays whatever he feels the song requires.

It's alright, but definitely not my favorite Slash solo. It kind of sounded like a sped up Kyuss/Queens of the Stone Age solo or something.

Ya, considering this was supposed to be a 'fun' project that Slash and some production buddies of his assisted with (did a lot of mixing in one of Slash's son's friends from school dad's garage/jam space". The whole notion of it was - hey, do you wanna come down here and do lyrics on a song, riff, lead, idea that I have and have some fun? And this is how it came to be.

Having said that, there are a number of "dubious" tracks on the CD that didn't make me really jump outta my seat, but, in all fairness, Slash did an alright time matching style for style. So be it.

That sounds about right for the "new" SLASH" (anything after snakepit's first album really). He solos without any focus or direction on where he is going, just let's it go. I actually like a lot of teh rythmic structures on his latest album but many of the solos just lack the depth that the old stuff had. Similarly though. Lynch is just as uninspiring in the lead department so when it goes, it goes..

Anybody see Zakk recently? What a shit locker he's got.. seems that being a part of the Black Label Society motor bike gang means you spend countless hours eating chili dogs and drinking beer. It's all good though, chain from your wallet to your pocket, cut off tight t shirt and a jean jacket and you are good to go!

For Fuck Sakes, it's great Rock N Roll,
Simple and it Rocks!
I keep my expectations at 0, therefore
I'm never disappointed.
Great Album, one of my favs. From 2010.
Myles Kennedy and Fergie tear it up on
this album.

I just don't dig the tone, might as well be a pod. I like Slash a lot but apart from By The Sword there's not one song on that album that does anything for me. Plus I'm not into Myles Kennedy's voice at all so seeing him live has no appeal. I'm totally OK with him having success with the album because I still want to hear what he can do next, especially if it has more drive and focus attached to it.

You could teach a 14 year old to play Slash's best music- most overrated player ever! His best move is keeping that hat and hair in front of his face.
However, the solo work on this tune was ok...just like the rest of his work: safe notes, same scales, decent feeling

I love this album. Thought this sounded good, I think Ozzy is the one that should be critisized(spell? duh). He needs to hang it up, my 2 cents.
